We've been doing a lot of restoration work on this beautiful craftsman bungalow. The clients originally had us build a custom set of wood bookcases with pillars, styled after the Arts and Crafts aesthetic, that separated the living and the dining room areas. The project then morphed into helping the clients bring this classic bungalow back to as close to its original condition as possible. Check out the progress below.
Picture of the bungalow back in the 1970s with brick columns and stucco
Brick columns were removed and replaced with custom-built pillars
Side view of the pillars with reconstructed bases and concrete caps
Another side view of the house
All windows had been re-roped with vintage weights
Installed cedar shingle siding on an addition in the back of the house to match the original siding of the house
Created matching tiered concrete steps for both back doors
Reconstructed the front door with Arts & Crafts-styled window panels
Created a period appropriate ribbon driveway
