New Tile Fireplace for a 1920's Spanish Revival Bungalow

This Spanish Revival bungalow had a fireplace that was clad with a brick facade.  Although it looked okay, it didn't really fit the style of the home.

So, we were called in to design and construct a more authentic-looking fireplace facade that would better suit the 1920's look and feel.

We removed the brick, applied plaster and texture, and installed the tile.  Each tile was custom-cut from 12" X 12" slate tile pieces and fitted to the design.  The plaster texture was also matched to the texture on the existing walls surrounding the fireplace, to give the illusion the fireplace was original to the house.

Plaster and Woodwork Projects for a Tudor Revival

This gorgeous Tudor Revival needed a few plaster and woodwork projects done to really make the interior pop! We matched the plaster texture above the fireplace and in the existing niches, constructed custom wood and glass shelves in the niches, rounded the tops of 2 niche cut-outs near the front door, added a rustic rough-hewn wood fireplace mantel, added electrical wiring to hang 2 iron chandeliers, and added custom wood shelves in the living room closet. Voila!

Living Room Renovation with Stone Fireplace

This living room had old carpeting, popcorn ceiling, and a 70's brick facade fireplace. We gave this room a makeover with all new 18" X 18" tile, smooth ceilings, new paint and baseboards, and recessed lighting, and refaced the fireplace with stone tiles. See before and after pictures below.

Arts & Crafts Fireplace and Custom Cabinets

It's been a really busy summer this year! At the moment, we've been working on several exciting projects, including building custom wood cabinets next to an Arts & Crafts tiled fireplace we did several months ago. The cabinets have glass shelves and will be fitted with interior lighting to light up the homeowners treasured object's d'art.
